Sustainable Design Approach

Design covers the broad spectrum of my work that I create, experiment with, research and consult in; ranging from product, packaging to built environmental design.

My performative work with nature has provided me with the skills of observation, spatial awareness and embodiment, very much tied to the concept of Biomimicry— an approach to innovation that seeks sustainable solutions found in nature as ways to tackle today's human challenges.

My visual arts background has helped me to  solidify and communicate my design contributions visually and physically, allowing for clearer communication beyond the spoken language.

My design approach is heavily influenced by Cradle to Cradle frameworks , systems thinking relationships, and permaculture principles. Ancestral traditions working in direct relationship with environment is something that feeds my design work. There is so much wisdom already at our feet.

My design perspective views: cyclical-designed products as our future, diversity as a key to ecological restoration, “trash” as a socio-cultural construct that will no longer serve our communities , zero-waste as a mission we will strive towards, and “less is more” as a defining life principle rather than a passing trend.
