Offered monthly within Hamburg, our Beginner (Anfänger) Hawaiian Hula Dance Workshops are a great introduction for beginners who have never tried the hula before, or for beginning dancers that want monthly intensives to review the basics.
In this course students will learn about the very basics: an intro on the Hawaiian culture, the evolution of the hula, oli (chanting) and the basic dance steps and hand positions. A choreography at the end will tie all the parts together and give the student a feel of how it is to share this cultural style of storytelling with their body.
Beautiful music, a great workout, and a good time!
All hula courses are taught by Jazmyne Koch (Maui, Hawai'i).
How to get there: Yoga Studio West can be reachable by S-bahn Hochkamp, with a 10 minute walk to the town center where the studio is located. It is near the Dante's Eis laden, and a jewler. The studio is located upstairs top floor. The 286 and 36 bus stops directly in front of the studio. By car, you can park anywhere on the street, or across by the Mercedes dealership.
What to Bring: Please wear comfortable clothes for movement, water, and a small towel if needed (we will sweat!). If you have a nice summer cloth or skirt, feel free to wear that in class. :)
